My Top 10 Favorite Inspirational Quotes!

My Top 10 Favorite Inspirational Quotes

If you’re like me, you need a little help in the motivation department. Some days you need it more than others, but the one thing I love about my Happy Planner are the sticker quotes that I can stick on every day. This way, when I look through my schedule I also get a little pick-me-up in the inspiration department.

That being said, we all have our favorite quotes that really rev our engines. Following are a list of my top 10 Favorite Inspirational Quotes. Maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe you haven’t. You may want to keep a few for yourself, and I don’t mind.

  1. You are so much stronger than you think. (Happy Planner Sticker)

Sometimes I forget how strong I am. I feel let down by the world or my own talents, and I think, I can’t do this anymore. I’m too tired to go on. Then I read this quote, and I’m reminded that I can go on. I am strong enough to move past this disappointment and find hope in its lesson.

  1. Dreams don’t work unless you do. (Happy Planner Sticker)

Sometimes I forget that in order for my writing career to become a reality, I actually have to write. It’s not that I don’t want to write, but the fear of failure sometimes paralyzes me into not getting my butt in the chair to do it. This quote helps me remember that in order to make something happen, I have to do the work.

  1. Today is a new beginning. (Happy Planner Sticker)

You know, it’s hard to put yesterday’s mistakes in a folder and forget about them. A lot of the time my mind brings up the past the first thing when I get up. It takes a lot of work on my part to put the past where it belongs and tell myself that Today starts a clean slate for success instead of failure.

  1. Change your thoughts, change your world. (Happy Planner Sticker)

How many times does your thoughts hinder your actions? For me, it’s a lot less than it used to be, but they still slip past my defenses and cause me trouble on a daily basis. I think the mind is one of the hardest things to control. It’s not that it’s impossible to do, but we’re lazy with our thoughts and just let whatever floats into our brains take form. But, I have been working very hard on changing my way of thinking to Life Giving instead of Life Taking. When you take charge of your thoughts, you take charge of your life, and things change for the better.

  1. No Act of Kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. (Aesop)

I want to make this a daily routine for me. I want to show someone kindness, no matter how small. Maybe it’s holding the door open for a stranger, or paying it forward at the drive through, but something that let’s someone else know that I care. I love this quote because it reminds us that kindness isn’t measured by quantity but rather by quality.

  1. Happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people. (Unknown)

I’m really bad about comparing myself to others. Other women, other teachers, other authors, and the list could go on. I want to better myself, but I am not those people. God didn’t design me to be them or to do what they do the way they do it. This quote helps me remember that I am unique and have my own purpose in this life. First seek God’s wisdom before I seek that of people.

  1. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, “Oh crap, she’s up!” (

I absolutely love this quote. I have made it my mission this year to do my Bible study/Devotional as soon as I get up in the morning for this very quote. I want to be a woman that the devil fears instead of me fearing him.

  1. Love the life you live. Live the life you love. (Bob Marley)

There is so much knowledge in this quote. In order to be happy, you have to find love. Maybe you find self-love or love from the Father, but love is the key to happiness. Life isn’t easy, but when you find something about it you love, it becomes a lot happier.

  1. Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. (Martin Luther King Jr.)

The Bible talks a lot about having a little bit of faith. It’s easy to say you have faith, but living in faith is a lot harder. I love the visual that this quote gives because it really defines faith. Picture yourself blind folded and told to walk in a room you’ve never seen with only the voice of the person who blind folded you to guide your steps. That’s faith. Some days faith is harder to rely on than others, but each day I learn a new way that I have faith.

  1. Today I decided to forgive you. Not because you apologized, or because you acknowledge the pain that you caused me, but because my soul deserves peace. (Najwa Zebian)

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things to give…especially when the one you give it to hasn’t asked for it. But, it comes down to whether you want to live with the burden of anger or live with happiness of peace. God forgave me, and it’s my job to forgive others, not because they deserve it, but because I deserve to live happily and harboring anger toward another doesn’t create happiness.

These are my favorite quotes…well a few of them. If I listed every quote I loved, this blog would be forever long. I find quotes on a daily that I love, and each creates a unique response that helps me in a stage of my life. Do you have any favorite quotes that help you through the dark hours of the day?
